Seoul Club Guide for Japanese Visitors (Gangnam, Sinsa)
Last updated 2 min readWritten by the Club ACE Seoul team
Visiting Seoul from Japan and want a night out in Gangnam? Entry fees, dress code, booking over LINE without a Korean number, JCB payments and late-night transport at Club ACE Seoul.
Quick answer
A club night in Seoul takes very little preparation: your passport, smart casual clothes, a ₩20,000 door fee and a plan for getting back. Club ACE Seoul is three minutes from Sinsa Station Exit 4, has Japanese-speaking staff, and takes bookings over LINE.
Book over LINE, in Japanese, without a Korean number
The first worry for most visitors from Japan is how to make contact. We take reservations through the chat on this site, LINE, KakaoTalk and WeChat (ID: aksen1010), and none of it requires a Korean phone number. Write in Japanese if that is easiest.
Two details are enough: your date and how many people. Table pricing depends on the night, group size and location in the room, so the team quotes it directly rather than publishing a fixed figure. Message ahead from Japan or on the day from your hotel — both work.
Door fee, passport, dress code
Entry is ₩20,000 per person. Foreign guests have ID checked at the door, so bring the physical passport rather than a copy or a photo on your phone. Even on a short weekend trip, that is the one thing not to leave in the room safe.
Dress smart casual or above. Shorts, slippers, sportswear and caps may be refused, so if you have spent the day sightseeing in trainers, plan to change before the evening rather than risk the door.
Payment and language
JCB is accepted, along with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay and Korean cards, so a Japanese card works without exchanging a large amount of cash in advance. A little cash is still handy for the taxi home.
Staff assist in Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. If you need help with an order or your table, just ask in Japanese — you should not have to spend the night inside a translation app.
Hours and the ride back
We are open Tuesday to Sunday from 11pm until 8–8am, closed Mondays. Seoul runs later than most Japanese cities, so arriving at 11pm is early; the room fills up after 1am.
The subway stops around midnight and restarts early in the morning, which leaves a taxi or the first train as your two options. Apps like Kakao T let you set the destination on screen without speaking Korean, and saving your hotel address in Hangul makes street hails easy too.
