Clubbing on Your Arrival Night in Seoul — How to Make It Work

Can you go clubbing the night you land in Korea? Luggage, hotel check-in, getting from the airport to Gangnam and opening hours, explained by Club ACE Seoul.
Quick answer
Going out on your arrival night is realistic. The trick is dealing with luggage and check-in first. Club ACE Seoul opens at 11pm and runs until 8–8am, closed Mondays, so even an evening flight leaves you plenty of time.
Drop your bags first
Dragging a suitcase around does not work, at the door least of all. Checking in — or at least leaving your luggage — before you head out is faster in practice than going straight from the airport.
A late check-in is not a problem. Doors open at 11pm but the room fills after 1am, so leaving your hotel at midnight or later is not late at all.
Getting from the airport to Gangnam
From either Incheon or Gimpo you can reach the Gangnam area by train, limousine bus or taxi. Journey times vary with traffic and time of day, so check a map app once you land — some services run limited hours late at night.
We are three minutes from Sinsa Station Exit 4, at 597 Gangnam-daero. In a taxi, showing the Korean address — 강남대로 597 — is quicker than saying it.
What you need that first night
Your passport (ID is checked at the door), smart casual clothes, and ₩20,000 for entry. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and UnionPay are all accepted.
If what you flew in wearing is too casual, change when you drop your bags. Shorts, slippers, sportswear and caps may be refused at the door.
