Seoul club weekday vs weekend: how to pick your night
Last updated 4 min readWritten by the Club ACE Seoul team
A practical look at Seoul club weekday vs weekend — how the crowd, space, table availability and music energy change, and which night suits first-timers, couples and groups.
Quick answer
Wondering whether to go out midweek or wait for Friday? The short answer: weeknights are calmer with more room, while weekends are packed and high-energy. Here's how to choose the right night for you.
Weekday vs weekend: the core difference
The biggest difference is the number of people, and everything that follows from it. On weeknights the floor has more room, so first-timers can settle in without pressure and start the night slowly by ordering at the bar. We open at 11 PM and close at 8 AM, Tuesday through Sunday, and we're closed on Mondays. The busiest window is between 1 and 3 AM, though on weeknights even that stretch stays easy to move around in.
Fridays and Saturdays turn the same room up several notches. The crowd fills in, the music energy climbs, and the main floor feels full in the best way. If you want that festival-night feeling, the weekend is your answer, but good seats go quickly, so it pays to ask ahead. Choose a weekday for a relaxed look at the place, and a weekend when you want the room at full volume.
Getting to Gangnam and Sinsa at night
We're at 597 Gangnam-daero in Seocho-gu, about a three-minute walk from Sinsa Station on Line 3, exit 4. It's the same spot as the former Race Club, so locals who know the area will find it easily. Seoul's subway generally stops running around midnight, so if you plan to stay late, sort out your way home in advance. Late at night, hailing a taxi through an app like Kakao T is the most reliable option.
The Gangnam area stays busy and well lit into the early hours, so getting around is straightforward. On weekend nights, though, taxis can be hard to catch, so open the app early. Booking a place to stay near Gangnam or Sinsa lets you walk to and from the club. Knowing when the first trains run — roughly 5:30 AM — helps if you'd rather head home by public transport.
Entry, seating and pricing at Club ACE Seoul
Entry is ₩20,000, and there's an ID check at the door. Foreign guests need a physical passport, not a photo or copy, and the club is for adults only. We suggest smart casual and ask you to skip beachwear and sportswear. Shorts, flip-flops and caps may be turned away.
Seating comes in two forms: VIP tables and VIP sofa tables; there are no bar seats, but you can order at the bar. There are only three sofa tables, each with bottle service and a dedicated server. VIP tables start from ₩800,000 on weekdays and from ₩1,500,000 on weekends, as listed on our site. For larger groups or a special night, it's worth asking about a table in advance.
Making a night of it around Gangnam
Before the club, the Sinsa and Gangnam area is a good place to eat and warm up. Garosu-gil is lined with cafés and bars for an easy first drink, while the streets toward Gangnam Station have restaurants open late. A solid Korean barbecue or a pojangmacha stall sets you up with the energy for a long night. The club builds as the hours pass, so pace yourself and don't peak too early.
When you leave in the early morning, a hot bowl of soup is the Seoul way to finish. Look up a 24-hour spot for haejang-guk or sundae-guk before you go out. Convenience stores are everywhere for water or a quick bite. Before your first train or a late taxi, a short sit-down to settle your stomach makes the trip home easier.
Choosing your night and booking it
If it's your first visit, or you're coming as a couple, we suggest trying a relaxed weekday first. There's room to read the room, and you can start light by ordering at the bar. Groups, or anyone set on a full party atmosphere, will feel more at home on a Friday or Saturday. Either way, the best seats fill fast, so reach out before you come.
Booking starts with an inquiry. Message us through the chat on our site, on KakaoTalk or WeChat at aksen1010, WhatsApp at aceclub1, or Telegram @mkmk38. You won't need a Korean phone number; we usually reply within 24 hours and explain payment then. The chat also works in English, Chinese, Japanese and Russian.
